The PS Vita has had us excited ever since the reveal at E3. Now, we want to know: when will the PSV release?
Sony said during E3 that the PlayStation Vita will hit stores in holiday 2011. That’s the fourth quarter of the year, and the biggest sales margin throughout the year, due to holiday shopping and events like Black Friday.
This year, Black Friday lands on November 25. We’ve always assumed the PSV will launch before then, but now the UK Blockbuster has launched a flyer with an October 28, 2011 Vita release date. This has not been confirmed, but with the other information, it sounds plausible.
Usually, devices that have been anticipated as much as the Vita sell out on release day. Now, preordering is such a common thing that Vita preorders are already sky high, as well as for Vita games. The most awesome thing about it? You don’t have to camp out overnight or go to the store to get the PS Vita; now, you can have it delivered on the same day as the release.
We know that when the PS4 releases, it will definitely sell out, just like the predecessor–especially if it includes virtual reality gaming!
